21 Wool masters will open the Wool Week 2012 

From November 5 till 9 2012, Amsterdam is hosting the first Dutch 'Wool Week'.
For five days there are activities organized throughout the city. The Wool Week kicks off with the opening of the exhibition '21 wool masters'.
21 Dutch top fashion and design creatives are showing their vision on wool. The specially designed pieces are exhibited from 6th till 10th of November at Droog Design, in Staalstraat Amsterdam.

21 wool masters are: Winde Rienstra, Frans Molenaar, Jan Taminiau, Jan Jansen, Bas Kosters, Hyun Yeu/Ado les Scents, Hans Ubbink, youasme measyou, OntFront, Alumni of the Dutch fashion academies and the Design Academy Eindhoven: Yvonne Kwok (AMFI), Chrissie Houtkooper (KABK), Raoel Amier (WdKA), Judith van Vliet (HKU), Brian Geradts (ABKM), Marjanne van Helvert (Gerrit Rietveld Academie), Noortje de Keijzer (DAE) and Peet Dullaert (ArtEZ).

The Wool Week is an initiative of The Campaign for Wool, an international campaign, which in all its aspects and diversity, brings to the attention to wool.

Wool Up Your Life 
(6 november 15: 00 hours, the Beehive, 1012 JS Amsterdam Dam 1)
The Beehive spends together with Dutch fashion brands focus on wool with a spectacular parade. Come Tuesday 6 november at 15: 00 hours to the Bijenkorf Amsterdam and "wool up your life". 

Wool is Home 
(november 6, 17: 00, Edha Interior, willemsparkweg 5-9)
Interior designer Edward van Vliet creates a special thread-installation in the shop window of Edha Interior shop, with furniture of Design on Stock and substances of Kvadrat. Opening at 17: 00.

Sam in the Bieb 
(november 7, 12.30-15.30, public library, Oosterdokskade 143 1011 DL Amsterdam)
Children can get acquainted with wool and their wool sweater or hat repaired with Woolfiller ©. Theme is the story of Sam, an Australian Lamb that his parents will hear how important his coat is. 

SPR Wool (8 november 18: 00-21: 00 hours, SPRMRKT, rozengracht 191 1016 LZ Amsterdam)
At the trendy concept store SPRMRKT on the rozengracht is an exclusive catwalk show organised, with woolen items from the A/W 12/13 Collections. This is an exclusive bloggers event. Invitation only! Music: DJ Lisa Shadow. Drinks: Pure Green Vodka, Warsteiner and Earth Water.

Wool de Bonneterie (november 9, 16: 00, Maison de Bonneterie, Rokin 140-142 1012 LE Amsterdam)
During this closing event in the Maison de Bonneterie department store work three young artists Eva Bartels, Merijn Kavelaar and Michel Willemsen live to their artistic expressions of ' the sheep '. Also in the shops in Amsterdam and Den Hague woollen outfits to see designers Borre akkersdijk, Jef Montes, Monika Lovas, Sladjana Pengic, Peet Dullaert and of Individuals by Amfi.

9 Sheep in 9 streets Go from 3 november in the ' 9 Straatjes ' in search of the ' 9 Sheep ' and win a gift voucher worth € 500, to spend on woollen clothing.

During the Wool Week spend several retailers in Amsterdam in their shop Windows attention to wool, including Claudia Sträter, Cora Kemperman, Tinctoria, Francisco van Benthum and New Tailor.
